Commercial &
Residential Maintenance
G & G Landscape & Development offers all the maintenance services you need to keep your property looking trimmed and preserved no matter the season.
Mowing
-
Grass needs to be cut regularly to remain healthy
-
We do not cut grass shorter than 3 inches (normally) – the longer the blade of grass, the more surface area to collect moisture
-
Mowing blades are always sharp – dull blades tear the grass
-
We avoid mowing when conditions are excessively dry or excessively wet
-
“Excess” grass clippings are always removed.
Mulching
-
Adds texture and color to your landscape
-
Helps to hold in moisture
-
Helps to prevents weeds
-
Distributes some nutrients to the soil
-
Excess mulch can be damaging to tree trunks and plants
In order to prevent this from happening, G&G Landscape rakes off the top layer of mulch every year and spreads a thin layer of new mulch, making sure bases of plants and trees are clear of excess, and we also redefine the plant bed edges.
Fall Clean- Up
Fall colors can be beautiful, even breathtaking, but once those leaves fall, they can cause damage to your lawns and plants by blocking sunlight and holding too much moisture.
Here’s the solution:
-
A light leaf cover can be mulched back into the turf
-
A heavy leaf cover is removed from the property
-
In both cases all leaves are removed from around plants and trees by G&G staff.
Spring Clean-Up
As snow melts, sand, leaves, and debris are left in the wake of winter. This debris causes damage to grasses and plants, as well as stains on pavement and concrete.
G&G Landscape will remove this debris from your pavements, lawns, and plant beds.
Plant Care
Plant care is not always as simple as running the trimmer over the tops of shrubs to maintain their shape, or providing plants with sunlight and water. Plants also need air and nutrients. Mother Nature does provide some of this, but many times, it just isn’t enough.
Each year, or at least every two years, we remove some of the inner branches of the plant to increase the amount of airflow. We make sure weeds are not growing in the plant, as this can choke the plant, causing it to turn brown or simply to just not look healthy.
